카라는 최근 8월 중순 컴백을 위한 본격적인 준비에 들어갔다. 이들은 타이틀곡을 확정짓고, 지난 13일 뮤직비디오 촬영을 마쳤다.
카라, 이를 악물다 ’4인의 열정, 반전은 성공할까?’소속사 DSP미디어는 카라의 재도약을 돕기 위해 사활을 걸었다. 상반기 최고 히트 작곡가로 명성을 떨치고 있는 이단옆차기와 손을 잡는가 하면, 서태지 소녀시대 비스트의 뮤직비디오를 촬영했던 홍원기 감독을 다시 모셨다. 성공을 위한 최고의 진용을 꾸린 셈이다.
무엇보다 멤버들의 달라진 자세가 카라의 전망을 밝게 하고 있다. 멤버들은 카라의 영광을 재현하기 위해 열정을 쏟고 있다.
카라가 이번 앨범에서 선보일 곡은 파워풀한 댄스곡이다. 격렬한 댄스와 동선을 치밀하게 구성하면서 안무 난이도가 상당히 높은 것으로 알려졌다. 멤버들은 이를 소화하기 위해 하루 8시간 이상을 안무 연습에 할애하고 있다. 특히 막내 영지는 소속사 연습실에서 자리를 뜨지 않을 정도로 열정을 불태우고 있다.
DSP미디어 관계자는 18일 "멤버들이 하루종일 연습하고 있다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 다시 정상에 오르기 위해 멤버들이 열정을 불태우고 있다"면서 "막내 영지의 합류도 기대 이상의 시너지 효과를 내고 있다. 잘하는 친구를 뽑았지만, 정말 열정적으로 무대를 준비하고 있다"고 말했다.
연일 구슬땀을 흘리고 있는 멤버 4인이 카라의 영광을 재현할 수 있을지 관심이 모아지고 있다.

Kara Fans Want Baby Kara To Debut After Youngji's Win

(Photo : Twitter)It's been some time since Youngji of Baby Kara became the next member of Kara, and fans are still having a hard time letting go of the other trainees who have yet to debut.
"Kara is currently working on their new album and they'll simultaneously release it in Korea and Japan in mid-August," said DSP Media to Star News. "They'll carry out their domestic activities first and then go back and forth between Korea and Japan to promote. They'll continue the style of Kara, but there will be a bit of change in their music. Please watch over them to see how it turns out."
"It's definitely not an easy thing to create a team with new members within a group like KARA that's already well known. We were also unsure whether the new member would be able to handle it at a young age. Thus, DSP's intention is that we will add one new member to focus on managing and looking over."
Meanwhile, the director's cut of "Kara Project" has been released on YouTube, which features the other members of Baby Kara prior to the results of the talent reality show.
And although the results have spoken, many fans still want to see the other six members of Baby Kara to debut as a group.
"DSP, please form a group with the remaining trainees and keep the name Baby Kara for them," commented JiyeonPark on YouTube. "As long as there are named after Kara, I am sure all Kamilia will support them. Thank you."
"DSP needs to figure out a way to get the rest of Baby Kara on TV and on stage as quickly as possible," wrote GeekDiggy on allkpop. "I can't be the only one who fell in love with Yuji, and it would be a tragic waste of talent for a well-resourced company like DSP to not utilize the rest of the girls. At least some new information would be nice."
